This afternoon it was warm enough to hang the hammock and relax in the afternoon sun. As I was attaching it to the hooks, I felt something inside the cuff of my jeans at my right ankle. I must have shaken this fellow from his winter hiding spot in the hammock. We gave each other quite a look before he darted away to the flowerbed. The backyard is definitely coming back to life!
